Model Flying Club Cambridgeshire, UK.
St Neots Model Flying Club, in Cambridgeshire, was formed in about 1990. We fly a variety of model type and sizes using Radio Control. It is a sport flying club, and we are affiliated to the BMFA and have been for most of the time the club has existed.
Whether you are an experienced flyer, or a returning flyer, or new to the sport, you will be made welcome and offered advice and assistance. We have BMFA Registered Club Instructors who can help you learn to fly.
In 2012 we had to move to a new flying site, due to construction of wind turbines on our previous location. Our new flying site has been up and running since late 2012 and is about the same size as our previous facility.
The flying site has no abnormal operating times and is kept in very good order by all club members and dedicated group of volunteers who cut the grass during the summer months.
A typical flying day may see models that are electric powered, glow, and we have flown petrol models as well. We have models that are, fast, slow, and types that include, gliders, fixed wing and helicopters.
The site is already suitable for many models, large and small, and has been used extensively since 2013. Access to the site, and the site itself are under continual improvement, and the grass coverage continues to improve and now it is nearly equal to the fine field we used previously.
